How to make french press coffee
Making French press coffee is quite simple and requires only a few steps. Here's how you can make French press coffee:
You will need:
- French press
- Coffee beans (medium to coarse grind)
- Hot water (not boiling)
- Coffee scoop or spoon
Instructions:
- Begin by boiling the water and let it cool for a minute or two before pouring into the French press.
- While the water is heating, grind the coffee beans to a medium-coarse grind.
- Add the coffee grounds to the French press, using a ratio of 1:15 (one part coffee to 15 parts water).
- Pour the hot water over the coffee grounds, ensuring that all the coffee is saturated. Stir the mixture gently with a spoon.
- Place the lid on top of the French press and let it steep for 4-5 minutes.
- After steeping, slowly press down on the plunger until it reaches the bottom of the carafe.
- Pour the coffee into your cup and enjoy!
Note: It's important to use the correct coffee-to-water ratio and grind size to ensure the best flavor. Also, be careful when pouring the hot water and handling the French press, as it can be hot and cause burns
